We offer all sorts of entertainment titles from award shows, game shows, live televised theater productions, colorized movies and television shows, rare never aired television pilots starring some big named stars. For example, how many people remember an Aaron Spelling television pilot starring Bette Davis as a financially broke interior designer?
Reasons to shop from us...
We are a cultural / hobbyist organization dedicated to the appreciation of film as art, spectacle and culture.
Here you will find semi-rare / hard-to-find titles to very rare DVD titles. These titles are from studios and private collectors from all over the United States and other countries who offer their precious items collected during the last 50+ years.
Some titles come from transfers from 35MM. or 16MM. celluloid copies to VHS or DVD; however, other titles are transferred from VHS to DVD or directly from Cable/Satellite to DVD.
All titles listed come to us from different collectors and collections from all over the world. We carry titles until they run out of stock. Some titles are available for a long time and others are available in small quantities. They are and remain available when offered by the film collector and we divulge them on the site.
Before ordering, please be aware that we search out the best available prints. We do our best to rate / grade these titles within the descriptions.
Each product is allowed the opportunity to display up to five (5) photos maximum. The first photo will always be known as the poster art or DVD case art; therefore, that leaves four (4) images to display for each of the titles. Generally, each of the remaining photos are screen shots that are taken directly from each of the available DVDs. That way, you can determine the picture quality of each title. This is particularly useful for customers interested in purchasing colorized movies / T.V. shows.
To save on storage space and costs, only a limited number of titles are kept in the warehouse. The majority of titles are produced once an order is received. This practice is known as Video-on-Demand (VoD) or Movies-on-Demand (Mod).
We're following other Internet stores who make use of this practice. For example, did you know that Amazon offers this same service with some of their DVD titles? Next time you are on their site and searching for a Universal DVD title, try locating one of their feature films such as "A Gathering of Eagles" starring Rock Hudson, Kevin McCarthy, and Rod Taylor. Read the description that they provide. They will always note these titles by adding the following verbiage to their description:
"DVD-R Note: This product is manufactured on demand when ordered from Amazon.com."
They do this for the same reason a number of stores do it...to offer customers the opportunity to see movies that ordinarily would not be available if they didn't offer customers the opportunity to provide movies on DVD-R media. It costs a lot of money to advertise the release of a new DVD title. However, by offering titles on an individual basis, it helps to provide movies that may never see the light of day if they had to be issued for a massive roll out. If they spend all that money to release a title and only a few thousand customers order the title(s), they are loosing money. However, when a title is offered as a MoD / VoD, the costs are only incurred whenever a title is ordered.
Through manufacturing via on demand, it enables us to offer audio-only titles, music and video content that might not otherwise be available. Each disc comes fully packaged, with artwork, in a standard plastic, slim-line case for audio and an appropriately-sized amaray case for video, although for reissued products the artwork may differ from the original. All sales are final; however, should there be a problem with a disc, all attempts to correct the problem will be made by testing and sending a replacement copy of the same title. This is a standard process as with today's technology, it's not difficult for anyone to make a copy of the materials that they receive and return them for another title. If no method works, then, and only them will a refund be given.
About CD-R and DVD-R Media
CD-Rs and DVD-Rs (the "R" stands for "recordable") look like the discs you're used to and offer the same audio and image quality. This recordable media is used to manufacture titles on demand, as fully authorized by the content provider.
By eliminating inventory, waste, and inefficiencies in the distribution system, on-demand manufacturing provides the added benefit of helping preserve the environment.
When shopping, you'll see CD-R or DVD-R on the product detail page for such products. Our standard return policy applies to these purchases.
Our goal is to be able to share our collections with other DVD enthusiasts and hobbyists.
Picture quality is considered good-to-excellent, unless otherwise noted. Keep in mind that older titles, especially some of the rare television shows may show signs of deterioration; fortunately, we slight to moderate image degeneration within the description of the title(s). We will always seek the best available quality print; however, sometimes what we end up with may not be perfect, but it is the best quality we can find. You should never be surprised as we will clearly note any problems within the title's description. Keep in mind that these are worst-case scenarios. Overall, you will be very pleased with the quality of the titles we stock.
Orders are processed in the order in which they are received. The preferred method is one-day turnaround time from the time the order is paid for through the mailing of the title(s); however, when business is brisk, we ask that you allow 3-5 days for processing for small orders of 1-4 items and 5-10 days for 5 or more items.
Within 24-48 hours after shipping your order, you will receive a confirmation e-mail that includes an estimated delivery date for domestic orders as the U.S. Post Office prints the estimated delivery date on the postal receipt.
International orders are estimated to take 1-2 weeks for delivery; however, it's always contingent as to how quickly a package makes its way through Customs.
Tracking Numbers and U.S. Custom Declarations Numbers
Also included in the confirmation e-mail is the tracking number for all U.S. customers.
Good news for our international customers; this past September, 2016, the U.S. Postal Service implemented a new U.S. Customs Declarations number form. That number now serves as a tracking number for all international First Class Mail. In the past, we were unable to provide any tracking details international countries other than Canada.
Prices include regular First Class mail shipping; however, should you wish to purchase faster shipping methods, or special requests such as Registered or Certified Mail (as examples), please let us know and you will be provided with a quote for alternate shipping methods. Should you choose one of the alternate shipping methods, you will receive a manual invoice to cover the shipping costs. The invoice must be paid before shipping using any alternative method.
Note: The price that you pay does not include any surcharges or fees imposed by certain countries, including any tariffs, duties or customs fees. That is the same for other vendors who sell internationally.
